November 1980 February 1985:
Senior Section Manager of network software section of thirteen systems programmers. Responsible for implementation, maintenance, and development of network software in support of an SNA network of 70 nodes and 8000 terminals. Member of the St. Louis data center planning committee. Coordinated the merging of the St. Louis and Long Beach VTAM networks. Software products supported include NCP, VTAM, NCCF, NLDM, etc.

Supervisor of MVS support group. Responsible for general MVS maintenance such as PUT, I/O gen, and PARMLIB.

Supervisor of JES3 support group. Responsible for maintenance, modification, and problem determination of JES3.

Systems programmer for ASP/JES3. Performed maintenance, modification, and problem determination of ASP and JES3. Developed local modifications in a shop with a heavily modified JES3 especially in the areas of RJP and output services. Installed JES3 and did problem determination and dump and trace analysis. Primary RJP support for network of more than 1000 RJP subscribers.
